What is Bull market?

A bull market is a long stretch when stock prices mostly go up and people feel confident.

The simple explanation

Analysts often say a bull market begins after prices rise about 20 percent from a recent low. During one, jobs and company profits are usually growing and investors are optimistic.

An example

Stocks rise for two years in a row and most investors are making money. That is a bull market.
