What is Large cap stock?

A large cap is a really big company worth many billions of dollars.

The simple explanation

Large cap usually means a market cap of 10 billion dollars or more. These companies are well known and tend to move less than small ones.

An example

Apple, Microsoft and Amazon are all large cap stocks.
